101 in 1001

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year’s resolutions or a ‘Bucket List’. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

This is my list of 101 things to complete in 1001 days. I am looking forward to completing this list. I believe that this list will help me become a better person, mother and artist.

Super Mom :) or shall we say Super Step-Mom??

So the count down has begun to Brooklyn's Big Bash at Daddy's House :). She will be turning 4 and we are super excited for her. She has chosen Ni Hao, Kai Lan as her theme this year. Decorations, invites, goodie bags, and much much more are all Kai Lan themed or chinese themed.

I created the invitations from scratch and might I say they turned out fantastic. I am very proud of my work. In the mean time I have been creating other decorations for the party including, origami swans, chinese stars, origami flowers and cutting all the confetti myself. I have been working very hard to create everything for the party. I also created a banner to be hung in front of our house to greet guests. I will post more photos of the decorations once I complete them. I am excited to celebrate with the little miss this year. She really loves having all the family together and playing with the other kids.
